The Forensic Fairytale. 2010-2011.
Location: Zankel Building, 2nd floor.
The Forensic Fairytale is inspired by traditional fairy tales written by the Brother Grimm and Charles Perrault. The photographs illustrate topics from the tales of Hansel and Gretel, the Red Riding Hood and Goldilocks, and the Three bears.
The tales affected a countless number of children and yet bear adult subject matters such as abandonment, abduction or vandalism that still resonate in the culture of the twenty-first century. The juxtaposed photographs evoke the collective memory and suggest to reconstruct the story.
Portfolio (Doing and Undergoing). Space as portrait. Reference and expression of society. 2013.
Location: Gottesman Libray.
Moritz Partenheimer photographs empty rooms and public spaces that appear strange and cold. Yet, the spaces he depicts reference everyday life and the relationship among people. The formal reduction and concentration on only a few architectural forms underlines the beauty of the object.
